Using URL Parameters

This page starts from the Gaia DR3 100 pc field table or public view for the default field-star sample. The membership basis can load selected associations from the adopted, maximum-observables calc_banyan_sigma rows, non-ignored data_memberships literature claims, or their deduplicated union. Literature claims are left-joined to the canonical BANYAN Σ result for the same object and association so their probabilities remain available. Association rows use adopted MOCAdb Gaia photometry unless raw Gaia photometry is requested. The BANYAN Σ probability slider filters the downloaded association payload in the browser.

Gaia photometry quality filter

The Gaia photometry quality filter removes rows before they are sent to the browser. It applies to the DR3 source-quality columns in cat_gaiadr3 and the matching 100 pc field table. When adopted MOCAdb photometry is shown, the filter still uses the matched Gaia DR3 source-quality row for the object.

Strict is the default. Off disables these source-quality cuts. Soft rejects duplicated Gaia sources, Gaia QSO/galaxy candidates, bronze photometry (phot_proc_mode=2), low flux-significance mean photometry (G<50 or BP/RP<10 in flux-over-error), outlying phot_bp_rp_excess_factor values using a color-dependent envelope, and BP/RP contaminated- or blended-transit fractions above 20%. Strict additionally requires RUWE<=1.4, gold photometry (phot_proc_mode=0), stronger flux-over-error limits (G>=100, BP/RP>=20), zero BP/RP contaminated and blended transits, and conservative image-parameter diagnostics (ipd_frac_multi_peak<=2, ipd_frac_odd_win<=10, and ipd_gof_harmonic_amplitude<=0.1 when present).

Parameter	Values	Effect
`x1`, `x2`, `y`	Gaia band or PSID	Sets the color and absolute-magnitude bands. Defaults are `GBP`, `GRP`, and `G`.
`asso`, `moca_aid`	Comma-separated association IDs	Adds members of the selected associations using the chosen membership basis.
`oid`, `moca_oid`	Comma-separated OIDs	Overplots highlighted MOCAdb objects.
`ruwe`, `ruwe_max`	Positive number, or `none`	De-emphasizes objects with Gaia RUWE above the threshold. Default is `1.4`.
`gaia_quality`	`off`, `soft`, or `strict`	Applies Gaia photometry-quality cuts from `cat_gaiadr3` before plotting. The default is `strict`.
`membership_basis`	`banyan_sigma`, `literature_claims`, or `union`	Chooses adopted maximum-observables BANYAN Σ rows, non-ignored `data_memberships` claims left-joined to matching BANYAN Σ probabilities, or their deduplicated union. The default is `banyan_sigma`.
`membership_prob_min`, `ya_prob_min`	`0`-`100`	Filters association rows by their BANYAN Σ probability in the browser. At `0`, rows without a BANYAN Σ result are retained; above `0`, they are hidden with rows below the threshold. The default is `90` for BANYAN Σ and `0` for literature or union mode. BANYAN mode downloads rows at `p>=50`; literature and union modes download BANYAN probabilities from `p>=0`.
`vetted_mtid`	Comma-separated MTIDs or `missing`	Requires objects to have at least one matching `mechanics_memberships_vetted.moca_mtid`. Missing selects objects with no vetted membership row for that association.
`filter_giants`, `filter_wd`	`1`, `true`, or `yes`; `filter_wd=0` disables white-dwarf filtering	Filters out objects where `test_giant()` or `test_wd()` is true. White-dwarf filtering is on by default.
`color_age`	`1`, `true`, or `yes`	Colors objects with BANYAN-linked association ages by age.
`raw_gaia`	`1`, `true`, or `yes`	Uses Gaia DR3 catalog photometry for selected associations instead of adopted MOCAdb photometry.
`extinction_corrected`	`0`, `false`, or `no`	Requires selected MOCAdb photometry rows to have `data_photometry.extinction_corrected = 1` by default. A false value disables this requirement.
`extinction_vectors`	`1`, `true`, or `yes`	Draws arrows from uncorrected photometry, `magnitude + extinction_a`, to the corrected plotted photometry when available.
`display_errors`	`1`, `true`, or `yes`	Shows available CMD error bars from photometric and distance uncertainties.
`binaries`	`1`, `true`, or `yes`	Overplots known binaries with open symbols. Objects remain plotted normally either way.
`sequences`	`0`, `false`, or `no`	Hides MOCAdb empirical age-sequence overlays. They are shown by default.
`field_hover`	`1`, `true`, or `yes`	Enables hover text for the dense field-star sample. Field hover is off by default.
`mock`	`1`	Uses a local synthetic dataset for smoke testing.

Cache

The selected Gaia CMD payload is kept in server memory for a short period. Clearing the cache forces the next load to redownload the selected data.
