Using URL Parameters

The spectral explorer can be opened with predefined spectra and display settings by appending query-string parameters.

Parameter	Values	Effect
`moca_specid`, `specid`, `specids`	Comma-separated spectrum IDs	Loads those spectra. Defaults to `13510`.
`hover`	`1`, `true`, or `yes`	Shows detailed hover text for plotted spectral rows.
`error_shade`	`1`, `true`, or `yes`	Shows a smoothed one-sigma shaded envelope around each displayed spectrum.
`snr`	`1`, `true`, or `yes`	Displays flux divided by flux uncertainty per pixel instead of spectral flux.
`xlog`, `ylog`	`1`, `true`, or `yes`	Enables logarithmic scaling for either axis.
`xrange`, `xmin`, `xmax`	Range in μm, such as `0.8-2.5`	Sets the displayed wavelength range.
`fnu_jy`, `fnu`	`1`, `true`, or `yes`	Converts the display from F_λ to F_ν in Jy.
`normalize`	`0` disables normalization	Normalizes spectra by the selected wavelength range by default.
`norm`	Range in μm, such as `0.95-1.35`	Sets the normalization range.
`hide_ignored`	`0` shows ignored spectral rows	Hides `data_spectra.ignored = 1` rows by default.
`bins`, `bins_per_micron`	`0` for raw spectra; positive integer for bins per μm	Controls server-side wavelength binning. Defaults to raw, unbinned spectra.
`decrease_resolution`, `display_bins`	`1` plus a positive integer	Bins plotted spectra in the browser. Uses `display_bins=200` by default and averages in log space for enabled log axes.
`showfeatures`	`0` hides features	Shows the shared 0.4–50 μm L/T/Y atomic, molecular, cloud, and broad opacity regions by default.
`disable_lowres`	`1`, `true`, or `yes`	Draws low-resolution spectra as normal lines instead of open markers.
`mock`	`1`	Uses a local synthetic dataset for smoke testing.

Cache

This page keeps downloaded spectra in server memory for a short period. Clearing the cache forces the next load to redownload spectra from MOCAdb.
